SMART Action Plans Plans set directions. And you need a plan or direction in order to be successful. Otherwise, how would you measure success? Now things do not always go as plan. When setting plans do not get attached that everything needs to go occurring to plan. The most important part of planning is setting an intention to have things go a certain way. When planning it is helpful to create a SMART action plan. This can help guide you to see if the plan is tangible. Be level-headed when creating these plans. Can it really be done in the time allotted? Can you measure success? How can you measure success? Can you be more specific? S- specific M- measurable A- actionable R- realistic T- time I am currently working on my business plan and planning out the next four months. This way everything is broken down into quarters. And since I declared in my previous post that I can not create my own business being the person I have been I am creating two plans. For my business plan, I am using books that I bought at Barnes and Nobles. I work on this plan every week with my business partner. We look at where we are going and what we need to do. We alter things as we go and learn. We find that sometimes we think something is needed and then come to learn it is not. For my personal plan, I typed it out. I looked at who I want to become and then worked backward to see what I need to do differently. I keep track of these goals in my passion planner. My passion planner serves not only as a planner but also as a diary. Each month I plan and set my intentions. Then at the end of the month, I get to recap what worked that month and what I learned.
